I've lived in NYC for a little over three years now. When I first moved here I hated how SATC lied to its viewers about what New York city life is for 99% of the people. I realize its TV, and entertainment is their main priority which they did a great job at but normal people with their kinds of jobs can not live like they did on the show.
Anyways, I have a new love for the show. And it has nothing to do with the entertainment value. I love watching the show to pinpoint and recognize where the episodes were shot in NYC. I see restaurants that I have been to or walked by on the show all the time now. I love it! It's like a game and I've even tried a few new restaurants because of what I have seen on the show. This thrill may sound lame but it's actually kind of fun.
And to wrap to wrap up the post I had a fantastic celebrity sighting today - Kim Cattrell! She was just standing against a building by my gym. I was so shocked because we made eye contact that I said out loud "HUGE FAN" and she smiled and said thank you. I felt like such a dweeb that I quickly walked away, texting all my friends and grinning like an idiot. Now I know why it's not worth saying Hi to celebrities - it's weird.
